BestCourses, GreenFees, and AllGolfTV organizing 1st Annual Charitable Golf Tournament recognizing Randy Pausch, The Last Lecture, Alice, & Junior Gol

BestCourses.com (www.BestCourses.com) , Greenfees.com (www.GreenFees.com) , and AllGolfTv.com (www.AllGolfTV.com) , have agreed to become the Organizing Founders for the 1st Annual Randy Pausch Golf Tournament benefiting the Alice Foundation, as a celebration to The Last Lecture, its profound effect on the people who have seen it and, the lives that have been changed as a result. Randy Pausch is a Professor of Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, and Design at Carnegie Mellon, and co-founder of the Entertainment Technology Center. He also serves as the Director of Carnegie Mellon's Stage 3 research group, where he oversees the development of Alice (www.Alice.org) which is a computer software program that allows its users top build virtual worlds. He was a National Science Foundation Presidential Young Investigator and a Lilly Foundation Teaching Fellow. In 1995, he spent a Sabbatical with the Walt Disney Imagineering Virtual Reality Studio, and currently consults with Imagineering on interactive theme park attractions, particularly for the "DisneyQuest" virtual-reality based theme park. Dr. Pausch is the author or co-author of five books and over 60 reviewed journal and conference proceedings articles, and his primary interests are human-computer interaction, entertainment technology, and undergraduate education. Pausch, a professor who's dying of pancreatic cancer, has bumped A New Earth, Eckhart Tolle's spiritual self-help guide, from atop USA TODAY's Best-Selling Books list and he was recently interviewed by Diane Sawyer on Prime Time Live. Subsequent tournaments will be held a multiple locations each month and this Press Release serves as a call to golf courses to fill out an application to participate. The contest** is open to all high school students and is focused on introducing the Alice software and legacy of Randy. The contest requires participants to create a virtual world video presentation that would promote Junior Golf. BestCourses has the tournament experience, as well as the ability to choose the golf course that offers the best facilities for this venue. GreenFees has developed the software to automate the sign up and tee time management which is imperative to the organization of these types of events.
